WE ARE LOOKING FOR PARTNERS
Vinnytsya Regional Non-Governmental Organization “Podolian Agency for Regional Development” was founded by the initiative of a group of four Non-Governmental Organizations of our region. The main goal of the organization is to assist in social and economic development of the region.
In 2008 our organization implemented several projects oriented toward the development of rural territories:
- A project entitled, “Formation of the Energy Saving Strategies of Rural Territories” which included a platform with four active models for renewable energy sources (wind generators, biodiesel and biogas facilities, and pine-tar oil boiler), creation of a web-site and a teaching centre;
- A network of 28 local agencies for rural territories development was formed (specialists rendered 168 consultations, prepared and realized 32 joint projects);
- In partnership with the Regional Association for Rural Tourism – “Creation of Complex Tourist Product GOLDEN RING OF PODOLIA” which involved the formation of a one-day tourist tour, marketing and promoting of territory potential, teaching crafts, building of tourist manors, and creation of regional products;
- Administering of two Regional Community Competitions: Regional Competition for Territory Communities and the PROON Program, with total number of supported projects 64, total amount 370 000.00 EUR.
The theme of rural territories development through formation of successful models and use of new tools is very important for us.
We are looking for a project partner in the sphere of rural territories development and transfer of the European experience in this sphere to a Ukrainian partner.
The prior topics for joint projects are:
- Methods of formation of local activity of rural territories (clubs, self-help groups, teaching centres);
- Social activities as a tool for the development of community activity;
- Renewable energy sources in rural territories (mini hydroelectric stations etc., teaching efficiency of using energy);
- Micro crediting;
- Introduction of e-government and ISO standards;
- Development of cooperative movement in rural communities;
- Creation of tourist products.
